We are pleased to announce open submissions for a new collection of short stories by writers living in Cornwall, to be edited by Emma Timpany and Felicity Notley. This will be published in 2018 by the History Press.

We are inviting the submission of short stories of between 2,000 and 6,000 words in length. Exceptional work that falls outside this range may also be considered. All entries must be original, unpublished and the author's own work.

The stories must have a Cornish setting and the author must be Cornish or resident in Cornwall.Stories for children are not suitable for this publication.

Within these guidelines, we would encourage you to make full use of your creative freedom and embrace a wide range of subject matters, literary styles and genres (literary fiction, crime fiction, historical fiction, sci-fi etc.) We are simply looking for the very best new writing.
