The Scottish Arts Club Short Story Competition
Deadline: Sat 31 Mar 2018
The competition is open to writers worldwide, published and unpublished, over 18 years. First prize of £1,000 and 2 runner-up prizes of £100.

Stories entered for the competition should be 1,500 words or less and can be on any topic. The stories do not have to be associated with Scotland.

£500 Isobel Lodge Award for unpublished writers born, living or studying in Scotland: All qualified entrants to the Scottish Arts Club Short Story Competition may also be considered for this award which champions new Scottish writing.

The entry fee is £10 per story and writers may enter as many stories as they wish. All funds raised are used to support the arts in Scotland. The competition is managed by the Scottish Arts Club Charitable Trust.
