Tobecontinued… is an exciting world first collective online writing event by Lulu, and supported by Prolifiko, Brighton Festival and nabokov theatre,  where writers from any background get a unique opportunity to develop plots and characters with other writers to produce the final collective story.

The excitement of collective writing is that no one can predict the twists and turns of the plot or how the final story will end as different imaginations and writing styles come together into a single piece of work. As a writer you also don’t always get to know who your fellow writers are until the next piece of the story is posted up and we reveal our writer’s name.

You don’t have to be an accomplished writer to submit to this writing event – if you have an idea for a character or plot in your head and can write 200 words (about a paragraph) then give it a go! Sometimes it’s easier just to write and not ‘overthink’ it – some of the best, most engaging and dynamic work has been produced that way so don’t be afraid to share your part of the story.

We hope to receive submissions from authors at all levels, writers who have been meaning to write their first piece for years but never had time, and writers who are suffering from ‘writers’ block’ and want to submit to get the creative juices flowing again.
