ArtWorks Fellowship – Call for applications

The ArtWorks Fellowship encourages established artists working in participatory arts to design their own professional development and to make a mutual learning journey with a 'host' organisation.
Barbican Guildhall Creative Learning is pleased to partner with Creative Scotland to pilot the ArtWorks Fellowship in Scotland in 2018. The Scottish pilot builds on the success of a bespoke professional development programme, created by Barbican Guildhall as part of ArtWorks, which ran between October 2015 and January 2017. The Fellowship encourages reciprocal learning, between participating arts organisations and a paired artist. There will be three fellowships available in Scotland in 2018.
Applications from groups under-represented in the arts, such as partnerships with disabled artists and artists from black and ethnic minorities will be particularly welcomed.
The Fellowship is a year-long opportunity for three mid-to-large scale organisations and artist partnerships, to develop their knowledge and experience in participatory arts and creative learning. Creative Scotland Regularly Funded Organisations are also eligible.
The Fellowship will provide:
• A financial grant of £2000 to be spent on artist CPD
• A 2-day induction
• 6 mentoring sessions for the lead organisational staff member and mentoring for the CEO
