Artists' Practice in Participatory Settings: A PHF ArtWorks Conference in partnership with the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and Creative & Cultural Skills (CCS)
Creating dialogue, collaboration and encouraging cross learning and partnership in the initial education and professional development of artists working in participatory settings

Changing the Conversation aims to bring together HE and FE providers with artists and arts organisations in order to address the needs of artists at different stages of their careers who work in participatory settings.

As part of the ArtWorks special initiative, Changing the Conversation aims to share success and learning, inspire and support organisations and learning providers in developing better collaboration and partnership working, create enhanced knowledge of the demand side of the market, develop next practice provision and inspire new thinking about student employability in this socially important area of work. Significant changes in artistic practices, in employment patterns and in education invite new opportunities for cross sector collaboration to ensure that artists who work in participatory settings receive the best possible training and professional development.
