This fun and inspiring creative five week writing course will encourage you to play with language and develop your writing skills
This fun and inspiring creative five week writing course will encourage you to play with language and develop your writing skills. Whether you’re into poetry or prose, you’ll be encouraged to experiment and stretch your imagination with a combination of writing exercises, a little home writing, and sharing ideas as a group alongside your tutor.

During the sessions you will be collaging words and pictures from newspapers and magazines; using old books and turning them inside out to find new meanings; drawing poems out of hats; recycling song lyrics and advertisments, drawing inspiration from the texts in the Cerith Wyn Evans exhibition for even more ideas.

Wendy Ann Greenhalgh is an award winning writer and highly experienced creative writing tutor. Her popular Brighton writing workshops regularly attract over 30 writers at a time and she is a member of New Writing South’s Creative Learning Team. She has an imaginative, playful approach to teaching, described by the National Association For Literature Development as ‘creative and innovative’. You can find out more about her on her website.

During the Cerith Wyn Evans exhibition, Wendy will also be hosting two FREE Poetry Jukebox sessions. Choose a poem about beauty, light, longing or transience from our online Poem Hunter, and Wendy will perform it live and unrehearsed for you in Gallery 2! Why not bring your favourite poem along and share it? Or just listen and enjoy.
