The masterclass is suitable for those who are experienced in working with young people, as well as writers who would like to move into this area of work
Poet Caleb Femi is the Young People's Laureate for London, a role which entails advocating for young people. He is also an English teacher, filmmaker and photographer.
Through his laureate role, he hopes to shine a light on the potential poetry has to bring people together, as well as re-engage young people with art. Caleb believes poetry has “a huge potential” to pave the way for people to have “difficult or taboo conversations”.
In this masterclass, Caleb will share his experience of working with young people. This will also be a space for writers and practitioners to share their own experiences and ideas. The masterclass is suitable for those who are experienced in working with young people, as well as writers who would like to move into this area of work.
