Gateways : a creative writing workshop for the harried and harassed
Sat 25 Mar 2017 to Sat 25 Mar 2017
The workshops will be lead by Sue Spencer and Jacky Collins – both experienced academics and group facilitators – come along and give it a go

We are offering writing workshops at the Lit and Phil on Saturday mornings specifically aimed at those who wish they could find time to write, are stressed and want to find a space to think or are just curious about the possibilities of writing and personal/professional development.

Starting on Saturday March 25rd 2017 we will focus on the experiences of everyday life and how we navigate the stresses, strains and pressures through the lens of poetry and fiction.

Drawing on Susan David’s book “Emotional Agility” we will structure the workshop around phases of awareness, recognition, letting go and re- framing. Choosing to be focused on attention, kindness and curiosity we will explore together how we can map our journey and break old habits that no longer serve us well. The theme for the first workshop will be Beginnings and how standing at the threshold of new ways of being can be scary and exciting.

The workshops will be lead by Sue Spencer and Jacky Collins both experienced academics and group facilitators come along and give it a go.

No experience needed just curiosity and an open mind. Time

10.00 hrs until 13.00hrs
