Introduction to Arts Fundraising: For Organisations, Projects and Individuals

Are you hoping to raise funds for your organisation? Or are you a freelancer or independent creative looking for investment to get your project off the ground?
Led by the Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Programme, this workshop promises to demystify the world of fundraising and provide practical, achievable strategies for you to take forward. This session is suitable both for organisations and individuals.
You’ll be introduced to the basics of fundraising, including approaching trusts and foundations, individual philanthropists, corporations and Grants for the Arts Funding. Over the session you’ll be given practical advice on getting started, from a brief introduction to legal issues to developing a case for support and making initial contact.
As well as benefiting from the expert knowledge of representatives from the Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Programme, you’ll be able to share your experiences of fundraising with your peers. You’ll leave this fundraising session with at least three immediately implementable actions and a wealth of new knowledge.
