Tuesday 31st May5:30-7:30pm, Attenborough 111, University of Leicester. The Centre for New Writing presents Sabyn Javeri giving a writing workshop and talk called ‘Literature and Cultural Identity Through Creative Writing'.

All welcome. Sabyn Javeri-Jillani is a poet, author and South Asian literary agent.

She was born in Karachi and has lived in England and North America. Her fiction and essays have been published in The World Audience (USA), Wasafiri (UK), Tresspass (UK), The London Magazine (UK) and many other places. She is the recipient of numerous literary awards and prizes and holds a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Leicester.

She currently has a two book deal with Harper Collins India, the first of which will be published in January 2017.
