Harness the power of testimonial theatre with award-winning Bradford-based Common Wealth and learn about their unique devising process

Common Wealth makes theatre that responds to political and social issues, using real people and places as a starting point, so please come with an issue that you would like to explore further.

Evie Manning is co-founder and Artistic Director of Common Wealth, having directed and produced all Common Wealth plays to date. She was recently awarded a BBC Performing Arts Fellowship with Freedom Studios.

Playwright Aisha Zia won a Scotsman Fringe First award in 2014 for her play about young Muslim female boxers, No Guts, No Heart, No Glory with Common Wealth. Our Glass House received a Special Commendation in Amnesty International’s 2013 Freedom of Expression Awards.
