Navigate your Novel with Ross Raisin
Sat 18 Oct 2014 to Sat 18 Oct 2014
Have you reached a dead-end with your novel? Or are you circling a roundabout, looking for a sign?
Refuel your writing and receive invaluable advice on avoiding the common hazards and dangerous diversions of novel writing in this workshop taught by Ross Raisin, one of Granta’s Best Young British Novelists.

Through a series of practical exercises, you’ll learn methods to improve dialogue, and enhance characterisation. You’ll be encouraged to discuss and debate the craft of novel-writing, helping you to discover the issues which often lurk at the heart of novels.

Not only will you gain a fresh perspective on your own work, you’ll also have the opportunity to share your writing with the group, and receive constructive criticism from Ross and your peers. The session will end with a discussion on how to move a raw idea into a rough plot.
