NCLA Creative Saturday: Life Stories with Lucie Brownlee
Sat 19 May 2018 to Sat 19 May 2018
What is memoir? Stories shape us and those around us. Sharing them helps us to navigate life. What stories might you tell? Using practical writing exercises, discussion and examples of craft, this full-day workshop considers the art of memoir and gives you the tools to start writing yours.
Lucie Brownlee is a writer and researcher. Her memoir Life After You was a Sunday Times bestseller and a Richard and Judy Book Club pick. Her second book, The Sculptress, is a creative reimagining of the life of American artist Mary Callery. Lucie gained her PhD in Creative Writing at Newcastle University.
