The Bread & Roses Theatre invites all theatre-makers to a free Meet & Greet and Networking Event
Monday 12th December, 7.30pm at The Bread & Roses Theatre, 68 Clapham Manor Street, SW4 6DZ London
The Bread & Roses Theatre invites all theatre-makers to a free Meet & Greet and Networking Event. Not even yet two years old, the venue has established its place on the London fringe theatre scene, received awards, launched several in-house competitions for playwrights and theatre-makers as well as supported over 140 theatre companies. Whilst The Bread & Roses Theatre and pub are separate businesses and we rent the space from the pub and receive no money from any bar sales, we are still offering the theatre free of upfront charge and companies always take home between 50% and 70% of the box office income.
The theatre keeps on growing and developing, constantly gaining new audiences, upgrading the technical equipment and increasing its outreach and coverage in the press and media (including online, newspapers, radio and television) and most recently has started offering an alternate programming slot, giving even more companies the opportunity to present their work at the venue. From 2017 onwards, The Bread & Roses Theatre is also considering proposals to be co-produced by the theatre for the first time.
?
We now invite all theatre makers to a Q&A with Artistic Director Tessa Hart and Managing Director Rebecca Pryle, who have developed the theatre space since 2012. Come and find out about the venue's journey so far as well as plans for the future. Chat to the directors about putting forward a proposal and producing a show at The Bread & Roses Theatre. Hear what the venue can offer and find out what we are looking for from companies applying to use the space. There will also be an opportunity on the night to chat to the directors personally as well as to view the space, equipment and facilities available. We will also provide further details and answer any questions about the upcoming Emerging Companies Award!
FREE ENTRY but limited seats, so please RSVP by emailing info@breadandrosestheatre.co.uk
