New To Teaching in Creative Writing

The Higher Education Academy invites new/early career lecturers to this free intensive one-day workshop on learning and teaching in Creative Writing.
The primary aim of this event is to offer Graduate Teaching Assistants, new and recently appointed academic staff an opportunity to reflect on and share their experiences of being a university teacher in their discipline and help them to address the main issues involved in providing high-quality learning and teaching experiences for students. These include:

    from writer to professor;
    Resources, OERs and not re-inventing the wheel;
    nightmare scenarios/difficult conversations;
    research and teaching;
    assessment and feedback.
