Henry will use examples from the crime writing masters such as Raymond Chandler, Patricia Highsmith and Elmore Leonard as the basis of this masterclass, helping you to identify the strengths and weaknesses of your own work, and move forward with momentum. Through a series of practical exercises you’ll also learn the knack of creating real suspense and the art of the ‘twist’.
You’ll work on cementing motivations, making sure your characters are believable and well-rounded. Henry will also advise you on writing innovatively within the crime thriller genre.
