Have you thought about writing a novel? Or perhaps you have written one already and are looking for new input?
Saturday 22nd June 2013, 9.15am-3.30pm at Alfreton Library
The day includes practical writing sessions led by novelist Emma Pass; a question and answer session with Emma, novelist Rod Duncan, Aimee Wilkinson (Writer Development Manager, Writing East Midlands) and Ali Betteridge (Literature Development Officer, Derbyshire County Council); plus the opportunity to meet other writers.
Also on offer are a limited number of one to one sessions with novelist Rod Duncan.
The cost for the day is £15, or £20 if you are allocated a one to one place. Tea and coffee will be provided. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch or there are shops nearby where you can buy sandwiches.

One to One sessions with Rod Duncan - Up to 2000 words of writing can be submitted. This could be:
• The opening chapter of a novel
• A synopsis
• A short chapter and short synopsis
The synopsis should be between 300 to 600 words. All writing should be double spaced and in Times New Roman 12 point.
If you would like to reserve a one to one session please make this clear when booking your place and please attach the piece of work which you would like to submit for consideration. Submissions must be received by Wednesday 12th June 2013.
Any kind of material may be submitted for consideration, however we reserve the right to refuse work in some circumstances, for example if it is considered to be racist or sexist.
