Organisational Development Programme for Arts Leaders 2015

This programme is for experienced senior arts leaders who wish to advance their expertise in developing their organisations and teams

Participants will have the opportunity to extend their portfolio of tools, techniques and systems for steering arts organisations through change and development.

It is designed and led by Anne Bonnar, drawing on extensive experience of designing and achieving change in arts organisations during the last 30 years, by utilising specific tools and techniques which have achieved positive and progressive organisational development.

The programme includes 3 days of learning including practice within a small peer group; self-directed study, and two additional individual sessions on achieving specific personal and/or organisational goals.

Programme Content

The programme focuses on developing your organisation using specific tools, techniques and systems in a cultural management framework. It includes case studies, arts management science and coaching and communication skills.

The content includes sessions on:

  • Diagnostics
  • Designing change
  • Implementing change 

Dates and Location

The programme takes place in central Edinburgh at Dovecot Studios. Group sessions will be held on the 5, 6 February and 4 March 2015. Each individual will also have 2 one to one sessions over this period.

Anne Bonnar, MA FRSA

Anne Bonnar is one of the UK’s leading arts management consultants with a thirty year track record in designing and leading arts organisations through development and change. She cofounded Bonnar Keenlyside after a career in arts management in Scotland and in London including leading the Traverse Theatre’s transformation from being a small theatre club to its current home in Edinburgh as a public theatre. 

She is an expert in designing and leading organisational change and development, and working with artistic leaders in developing and achieving shared visions.  

Cost

The cost of the programme is £1500 plus VAT. This includes lunches from Dovecot’s café ‘Stag Expresso’ and dinner on the first evening.
