Pen Power: Words to Promote Wellbeing
Tue 17 May 2016 to Tue 17 May 2016
Facilitated by poet Natalie Scott, this workshop will guide you through a range of activities designed to get you writing creatively and expressively

Tuesday, May 17 2016, 6.30-8pm
at Health Warehouse Café, 15 Post House Wynd, Darlington (£6)

Some activities will use a poem as a prompt to stimulate your own thoughts and help you to write a creative response. Others will encourage you to express your thoughts on the page in response to a subject, theme or object. There will be no pressure to share your writing but if you choose to do so it will be received in a supportive, non-critical way. No prior writing experience is necessary and writers of all abilities are welcome. The main focus of the session will be on expression of ideas rather than writing craft.

Natalie has a strong belief in the positive impact that reading and writing can have on emotional wellbeing. She is currently training with the International Federation for Biblio/Poetry Therapy to become a Certified Applied Poetry Facilitator (CAPF) which is an internationally recognised qualification in writing for therapeutic purposes.
