PROTECT: Young People in the Arts and Cultural Sectors
Tue 4 Nov 2014 to Tue 4 Nov 2014
The PROTECT Conference is for those working with children and young people within the arts and cultural sectors

Child protection and safeguarding can present real challenges for us all, knowing what measures legally need to be put in place to safeguard children, as well as what is good practice can seem like a full-time job.

The PROTECT Conference is for those working with children and young people within the arts and cultural sectors and the focus of the day is to give you the information and tools to keep the children and young people you work with safe. The day will include practical information, workshops, opportunities to network and leading guest speakers.

Topics will include current legislation, DBS, best practice, safe social networking and optional workshops in child protection policy writing, safeguarding in performing arts settings and safeguarding for freelancers and lone workers.
