The course will run for four weeks. Set yourself a goal and work towards it for 20 minutes a day (or longer if you have time). Each week you’ll show and tell us what you’ve done and share your highlights and lowlights with a supportive group.

What to expect…

Week One: Set a realistic goal

Want to write a book? Commit to writing the first chapter. Want to start a blog? Write 10 blog posts, or five, or one. Turn your mammoth task into a do-able four-week project.

Week Two: Growing pains

Living the writing dream is bags of fun, but it isn’t always easy-peasy. Doubts will creep in, you’ll struggle to find time, naysayers will say ‘Nay’, and you may start to wonder what in the world you’re doing.

Fear not! This is all part of the process. This week, you’ll learn how to deal with some of the issues that crop up for all of us when doing something new.

Week Three: AAGGGHH! I’m almost there!

It’s nearly time to show us your project and with that will come a mixture of excitement and fear or (if you’re like me) just plain fear.

We’ll challenge the biggest potential saboteurs of our efforts and learn to look at them from another, significantly less scary perspective.

Week Four: Grand Finale!

You made it – hooray! It’s time to deliver. This week, you’ll present what you’ve done to the rest of the group.

We’ll also look at ways to keep going: Where can your project go from here? How will you make sure you keep up the good work? How might you monetise your work?

Together we’ll come up with a plan for the coming weeks to keep you on track.
