The Future of the Humanities

The Future of the Humanities, a free one day event organised by the Centre for Culture and the Arts at Leeds Beckett University in collaboration with Palgrave and The Tetley

The aim of the event is to celebrate the value of the humanities and show how important humanities research is to our economy, society and culture. Our confirmed keynote speakers include:

  • Eleonora Belfiore, University of Loughborough
  • Sarah Churchwell, School of Advanced Study, University of London
  • Donald Drakeman, University of Notre Dame

As part of the event there will also be an opportunity to take part in a range of interactive workshop sessions such as:

  • What does open access to research mean for the humanities?
  • How are equality and diversity represented in the humanities?
  • What is Impact in the Humanities?
  • What are the Economic Humanities?
  • What are the Digital Humanities?
  • Creative Writing Workshop.
