To Teach is To Do - a poetry workshop for teachers
Sat 27 Sep 2014 to Sat 27 Sep 2014
As teachers, how do we enable others to do something we are unsure of ourselves? Writing a poem for instance
Whether you teach secondary level English or children at primary school just beginning to learn to read and write, this is a day for you. We will explore ways in to writing and sharing poetry together and discuss how these might be adapted for use in different classroom settings.

During the course of the day we will connect to some of poetry’s most basic and essential elements; love of language, use of sound and rhythm, form as a container. With National Poetry Day just around the corner, bring fresh enthusiasm to your class – write your own poems to celebrate!
