A small low cost workshop for both new and experienced writers of poetry, facilitated by Alison Clayburn, a poet and fiction writer with twenty eight years tutoring experience

Saturday December 10th 2016 1.30-4.30pm
booking deadline Dec 7th 2016

A small low cost workshop for both new and experienced writers of poetry, facilitated by Alison Clayburn, a poet and fiction writer with twenty eight years tutoring experience.

This workshop will focus on two poetic forms – one traditional and one contemporary.

It will explore both what amuses us (or makes us laugh out loud!) and how we too can produce humourous poetry

PROGRAMME

1.We will look at some traditional poems then write our own poems using these as inspiration.

2. We will consider how contemporary writers have used humour. We will see how their poems work and then write our own poems.

3.There will also be time for feedback and advice on any draft poems you already have 'in the oven'. Bring one along!

The group will be small, confidential and supportive.
