Word Factory Presents: Short Story Course 2018
Sat 17 Mar 2018 to Sat 21 Jul 2018
An exclusive spring/summer course of five workshops for committed short story writers with award-winning practitioners.

Designed by writer and Word Factory director Cathy Galvin, founder of the Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award and a judge of leading literary prizes, you will explore the fundamentals of short story writing – including character, plot, beginnings & endings and editing.

You will also be offered a chance to read your work at a special summer event attended by literary agents. We will offer an additional class on reading your work in advance of the special salon.

To make the most of the course, be prepared to do some background reading and undertake writing tasks at and between the sessions. There will be spaces for you to discuss your work with other attendees before and after sessions. Class size limited to 25 places.

Course Leaders: Leone Ross | Tessa Hadley | Sharon Eckman | Toby Litt | Cynan Jones
