Working with Creative Writing in Dementia Settings
Mon 27 Jun 2016 to Mon 27 Jun 2016
At Lit Up!, we're really excited to announce a new initiative between Lit Up! and Age Concern that aims to engage local writers with Memory Lane cafes, using creative writing as a means of connecting with people with dementia

As the first step in this project, librettist Karen Hayes will be leading a day's workshop on Monday 27th June 2016 on the fifth floor at Poole Museum, offering background information on working in dementia settings and providing participants with practical exercises that can be used to create a delivery strategy for engaging people living with this condition.

Karen is a pioneer in using creative arts in health and welfare settings and this is a great opportunity for local people to gain valuable skills and advice that can be transferred to other projects.
