WoWFest18 - Crossing Borders
Tue 1 May 2018 to Thu 31 May 2018
WoWFest18, the 18th annual festival from Writing on the Wall, Liverpool’s longest running literary and writing organisation, is nearly here. Join an exciting array of artists including Lily Allen, Robert Webb, Akala, LowKey, Benjamin Zephaniah, Paul Farley and international authors Mourid Barghouti and Carmen Bugan.

This innovative and radical writing and literature festival will be taking place across Liverpool during May 2018.

With the impact of Brexit hotly contested and unbridled Trumpery across the Atlantic, WoWFest 2018 – CROSSING BORDERS will explore literature, art, ideas and practice that has transgressed and challenged accepted ways of thinking. From migrant literature to refugee stories, prisoner stories and translated works, we’ll be discussing race, gender, sexuality, Europe, politics, activism, satire, collaboration, grime music and technology.

Joining the exciting line-up are international authors Carmen Bugan and Mourid Barghouti:
