Find a sense of play and adventure in your writing and back it up with strong research and story-telling techniques in this ten week face-to-face Writing Fiction: Intermediate
With one-to-one feedback from Sarah Bower and a supportive programme of workshops, assessments and practical exercises, this ten week course is specifically designed to allow you to develop your knowledge and practice of writing and reading prose fiction. Participants will engage in a weekly workshop of students’ writing, guided by the tutor and will work on completing a short story. The course will focus on reading and writing short prose fiction.
This is a Level 2 course and will be of particular benefit to those who have already undertaken a Level 1 course in prose writing. The course structure is designed to give your writing the time and space to develop, from learning how to analyse literary narratives to developing good observational skills and using memory creatively. You’ll be encouraged to practice and enhance your use of plot, character, dialogue and description and revise and edit your writing, taking the vital components of your work to a finished draft stage.
At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion from the UEA and WCN.
