Young Leaves: Writing out of Doors with Ken Cockburn
Sat 4 Jun 2016 to Sat 4 Jun 2016
Come and write haiku in the beautiful setting of a Japanese garden overlooking the Firth of Forth
Just three lines long, haiku are simple to write, but capable of great variety – humour, emotion, even storytelling. We’ll use poems by the great Japanese poet Yosa Buson, born 300 years ago this year, as starting points for our own writing – as well as the inspirational surroundings.
Suitable for all ages (under 12s if accompanied by an adult). Please dress for the weather. Ken Cockburn is a poet, who blogged about the Japanese garden over the course of a year.
