Durham Book Festival
The Durham Book Festival has events running throughout October.

Durham Book Festival is well underway, with talks given by well-known authors and poets throughout the month of October.

"As ever the programme is a dynamic mix of leading writers and speakers, home-grown talent and a remarkable programme of new commissions from writers, filmmakers and musicians, where we have invited leading artists to come and make work for the festival. These are events that cannot be seen anywhere else, so be sure not to miss them.

We are also launching our first day of events for schools and are delighted to be presenting events suitable for age groups across the curriculum. We are also extending our programming for young people who are interested in writing and literature by hosting the Cuckoo Young Writers’ Pop-up Shop, an exciting collection of reading and writing activities for teenagers which will run alongside our core programme."
