Yorkshire Art Journal is searching for poetry and short fiction submissions relating to the notion of an ‘Afterglow’
Selected pieces will feature within our free digital art anthology, alongside several artworks exploring the same theme, this spring. The anthology will be widely experienced by our readers, including curators, writers and critics, gallerists, journalists, artists, art students and art lovers.
We are keen to receive work relating to the sky before night – red, pink, or dim; about a certain atmosphere – intense or fading; about scattering, about something escaping sight, elusive, out of reach.
If you would like to receive an artwork to look to as inspiration – to work with directly as a stimuli piece – please get in touch and I can send one to you. Alternatively you may submit something that simply relates to your understanding of the theme.
This is an opportunity to feature within an anthology and entry is free. Yorkshire Art Journal does not pay winning entrants but this is a great chance for coverage and to be part of a collaborative project.
Please send all written work via email to katherineaprilc@gmail.com by the deadline of 10th February 2015
