Writing Maps, a creative writing resource, is looking for a Marketing Intern for a three-month internship in London

Writing Maps (WritingMaps.com), a creative writing resource, is looking for a Marketing Intern for a three-month internship in London. This will be a paid internship. The ideal candidate will be able to think commercially, be business-oriented, and be enrolled in a Marketing or Business Degree. The position requires roughly 10-15 hours of work per week beginning in mid-August. Exact dates are flexible but the intern should be prepared for a twelve-week commitment. The intern will be paid £250 mid-way through the internship, and £250 at the end. There's a possibility to keep working with us and for a commission on sales.

Responsibilities:

• Generate leads for possible sales and assess marketing opportunities
• Social media development and general promotional strategies
• Perform target market research
• Organise press materials
• Interact with clients and potential clients
• Plan business activities and brainstorm ways to execute them

You'll need:

• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Strong writing skills
• Knowledge of basic IT concepts and business analysis skills
• Ability to communicate via social media platforms
• Ability to work with Google Docs and Spreadsheets
• Integrity and love a good challenge
• An interest in creative writing and knowledge of the literary scene

You'll work from our office in Islington at least one afternoon a week, though some of the work can be done remotely. You'll also be out and about meeting clients.

Writing Maps are designed to inspire and guide writers of all levels to engage with their environment and reach the full potential of their imagination when writing stories.
