The School of English at the University of St Andrews seeks to appoint a Temporary Associate Lecturer (Education Focused) in Creative Writing for a 17-month period from 3 January 2018 to cover for a colleague on funded research leave.
You will be required to teach the Honours module EN4405, Contemporary Poetry in Great Britain and Ireland, EN4427, The Shape of the Poem, and to teach poetry seminars on the MLitt in Creative Writing, as well as offer some supervision of MFA short theses. Additional teaching may include sub-Honours tutorials, evening degree classes and dissertation supervision at undergraduate and taught postgraduate level.
You should have a strong record of recent and relevant publication, a PhD in a relevant area, substantial teaching experience and some administrative experience.
