The Department is home to a well-established Creative Writing programme, in which students can study the subject in Single, Joint and Combined Honours mode. Staff in the Creative Writing team have notably strong reputations and publication profiles in a range of files including; creative non-fiction; innovative poetry; novels and short stories; script; and writing for games. The Department is committed to the academic success and career development of its students, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

You will be required to teach undergraduate students in a variety of modes, including seminars, workshops, tutorials, and online interaction, and assess students’ work. You will ensure individual learning needs are met and support for study skills and learning difficulties is provided.
