Indie publisher Floris Books is currently looking for an open-minded self-starter for the new position of Community and Engagement Marketer. Although best-known for our award-winning Scottish children’s books, Floris Books also publishes non-fiction in a variety of niche areas including Steiner-Waldorf education, biodynamics, The Christian Community and anthroposophy.
This new role is not a book marketing role and we are looking for someone with experience outside the publishing industry. The role will be focused on marketing to, and engaging with, our niche communities with the dual aims of facilitating a greater connection between Floris and the communities for which it publishes and providing support to the communities in their own marketing activities.
We’re looking for someone special for this brand-new position. You will be:
• Self-motivated, used to plate-spinning and able to push through new initiatives • A confident networker and relationship builder, with experience of managing disparate stakeholders • A natural problem-solver who thinks creatively • A seasoned marketer with at least 3 years experience
It would be great if you had:
• Experience of third-sector marketing
• Knowledge or experience of any of the non-fiction areas mentioned above
The job is a part-time position starting on an initial 12-month contract with the intention of becoming permanent. Ideally you’ll be able to join us in June 2018.
