Contemporary Other
Deadline: Sat 6 Sep 2014
Contemporary Other are looking for submissions in response to Andre 3000’s performance statement, "across cultures, darker people suffer most. why?"

Recently Andre 3000 embarked on a series of performance gigs with added visual content. Across the chest of his jumpsuits has been  many slogans, statements and satirical comments.

One in particular was :

across cultures, darker people suffer most. why?

\ Contemporary Other are looking for submissions in response to Andre 3000’s performance statement. It is a statement and a question, A cursory statement, we know this. We would like a response, an agreement, a answer, or even a critique of the statement. ///

Respond in any form you deem fit.

The chosen submission will be published in the first issue of Contemporary Other

Contemporary Other was formed out the desire to dedicate a sole publication to the modern marginalised identity. To deny the standardisations of our cultural and artistic diet and give precedence to diversity of thought.

CO. is a limited edition hardcopy publication, a celebration of artists working within our super post modern experience and their contribution and necessity to the fields of art, performance, politics and culture.
