The Hepworth Wakefield is Yorkshire’s major new art gallery, showcasing the work of Yorkshire’s own Barbara Hepworth, alongside works by prominent artists of the 20th century such as Henry Moore and leading contemporary artists. Designed by Sir David Chipperfield, The Hepworth is the largest purpose-built art gallery outside London.

The Hepworth Wakefield Learning team is looking to recruit additional artists to join our dynamic and enthusiastic Creative Practitioner team. The Creative Practitioner team work with members of the Learning team to develop and deliver workshops and resources for primary, secondary, HE/FE, families, young people, adult learners and adults with additional needs.

We are looking to recruit artists with gallery education/facilitation experience who work in the following disciplines: sculpture (particularly clay and/or wood), drawing, photography, painting, film making, music technology/sound artists, new media, printmaking, participatory practice, spoken word and creative writing.

We are also looking to recruit experienced gallery educators in the areas of resource development, art history and critical analysis, and architecture.

Applicants must be available for an informal presentation evening 5.30 – 7.30pm on Tuesday 9 December and interviews on Friday 12 December.

Applications should be made via CV listing facilitation experience and should be accompanied by a digital portfolio showcasing personal practice and examples of facilitation/gallery education experience.
