Creative Programme Assistant, Apples & Snakes
Deadline: Fri 5 Feb 2016
Islington Creative Jobs is a Creative Employment Programme led by Islington Council in partnership with 9 arts organisations offering 14 apprenticeships and internships for Islington young people in the creative sector

Apples and Snakes is the leading organisation for performance poetry in England, with a national reputation for producing exciting and innovative participation and performance work in spoken word. We work in partnership with creative individuals and organisations across the country to produce high quality artistic experiences - including work with, for and by young people - that raise the profile of spoken word and push the boundaries of the artform, artists and audiences.

This newly created post will work across the London Creative Programme providing a wide range of support and assistance. There will be the opportunity to learn about event management, creative project coordination and the use of different media in marketing, and to potentially specialise in one of these areas as the apprenticeship develops. The post aims to give a good understanding and experience in the different skills and knowledge required to work in a busy arts organisation.
