Creative writer sought for the project Thorntree Roses Bloom to assist a women's group in writing text to be used alongside photographic images and calligraphy in a film reflecting their area and their group story.

The Thorntree Roses are a women’s group living on the Thorntree Estate in Middlesbrough, who are in the fourth and final year of a project funded by the People’s Health Trust called Thorntree Roses Bloom. The group are self-directed and have a wealth of experience of working with artists and makers of all genres.

The women are looking for a creative writer for Thorntree Roses, who will assist them in writing text to be used alongside photographic images and calligraphy, in a film reflecting their area and their group story.

You will work with up to 15 women for 5 sessions on successive Tuesday mornings at the Thorntree Hub, on the Thorntree Estate, beginning on Tuesday 20th February 2018. You must be able to attend all sessions.

You should have experience of working with similar groups, be able to feedback about working with the group and be able to write a blog post for our website to document your work.

Duration: Five successive Tuesday mornings, starting on 20 February 2018.

Total Fees: £825 with up to £125 for resources (to be held by Tees Valley Arts)
