Digital Artist, Artists or Arts Organisation to work with schools
Deadline: Fri 7 Nov 2014
D-Lab is a three-year visual arts project from Arts Derbyshire that will bring new digital art to Derbyshire

D-Lab is funded by Arts Council England and supported by Arts Derbyshire and Derbyshire County Council.

D-Lab is an online platform, which aims:

  • to showcase a range of innovative artists projects using digital media
  • to act as a network of and for digital artists, and artists who are new to digital media
  • to commission new work from artists, and to co-commission with other digital arts organisations
  • and to work with four Derbyshire secondary schools on projects with young people.

We are now looking for artists or organisations that are interested in tendering for the four schools projects, which are likely to start in January. We will work with 4 Derbyshire Secondary schools – Highfields in Matlock, Granville in Swadlincote, Ormiston Academy in Ilkeston and Heritage High in Clowne – on exciting and innovative projects which will help them to explore how they can use digital media creatively to transform teaching and learning, and to develop new schemes of work which embed digital media. Each school will partner with an Arts Derbyshire member organization, as well as working with you, and each has a budget of over £4,000 to deliver a project.

We are now looking for partners – individuals or organisations – who would like to work on the projects.

If you have experience of working in schools and would like to express an interest in working on the project, then please send us the following:

  • A company profile, or links to it on your website
  • Details of your previous work with schools, or links to it on your website
  • Short resumes of key personnel who would work on the project
  • An outline of the likely scale of your charges

We will then send you individual briefs for each school and contact you to arrange a meeting

Send your submission, or any queries, to info@davidgilbert.org.uk as soon as possible. Deadline Friday 7 November
