The Hull UK City of Culture 2017 Team is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their Finance Team

The 2017 Team is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their Finance Team, supporting the Financial Planning Manager and the rest of the team in the effective management and planning of the company’s finance in order to deliver a successful Hull 2017 Programme. You will ensure that accurate budgets are produced and managed effectively, along with other associated tasks. Extensive experience of creating budgets/financial planning is essential.

In your role you will work closely with the Programming Team to develop accurate budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered in line with the strategic objectives of Hull 2017.  You will also provide support to the Marketing, Communities and Legacy Team in the population and review of their budgets, and educate both of these teams where applicable with regard to required Excel skills necessary to manage the project budget templates. It is essential you have evidence of good working relationships with non-finance staff at all levels.

Your role will also require you to identify any inconsistencies, concerns, or any other considerations, and ensure that data is robust, accurate, joined up and complete whilst being fully owned by the budget holders. Previous experience of Oracle would be beneficial.
