Darnhill Festival Association (DFA) works in partnership with Cartwheel Arts to run the annual festival on the Darnhill estate in Heywood, Lancashire. The 10thDarnhill Summer Festival will take place in early July 2013.  Both organisations are registered charities and are actively engaged in a funding drive to enable the festival to take place. The successful candidate will be immersed in this.

You must be available immediately and able to work Mondays as part of a flexible schedule.

Our funding strategy includes raising funds through community parties, events such as bag packing and employing a freelance festival fundraiser, responsible for grant applications, building relationships with donors and investigating other funding possibilities. The Summer Festival 2012 had income of £24,000, and we aim to raise al least that amount for 2013.

We need a creative individual to take this role, initially working with the DFA to create a vision for the festival that incorporates their ideas and requirements and with an understanding of how this might be funded and which partners might be involved. 

If sufficient funds are secured then this post may be extended to include delivery of the festival. So we are seeking an unusual combination of talents.
