Ten writers aged 18-30 will get the opportunity to take part in a bespoke career development programme
The programme will includesix months of mentoring with a professional writer, attendance at a writing retreat, and much more.
Are you a young writer looking to take the next steps with your career? Writers’ Centre Norwich is offering 10 fiction writers the chance to benefit from a programme of professional development.
Each writer will:
- Benefit from six months of mentoring from an experienced professional writer.
- Attend a bespoke writing retreat for a weekend of intensive writing and craft development.
- Be invited to meet the fellow winners and mentors at an inaugural gathering.
- Take part in a free masterclass, designed to help writers advance and improve their craft.
- Receive valuable industry advice on writing, publishing and the literary landscape.
- Be introduced to industry professionals, including agents, publishers and fellow writers.
- Celebrate their achievements at a London showcase event.
The winners will be ambitious novel or short story writers who show promise and can demonstrate that a period of structured support would help them develop artistically. Winners must show considerable creative talent, potential, and commitment to the scheme.
