INLAND: #2 Neither
Deadline: Fri 3 Mar 2017
INLAND #2 is now open for visual and written submissions. INLAND is a portable exhibition in zine form

Launched in 2016 as a response to the lack of affordable space in London, INLAND explores the ideas of them and us, of clearly delineated thresholds and of arbitrary lines drawn in the sand. Whether it be gender, Nationality or class this zine intends to reflect upon the ways in which these lines are transgressed and transcended through the work of contemporary artists and writers.

For our second edition we focus on Gender under the heading Neither . How is gender constructed? What is the impact of gender on identity? How can we challenge perceived gender norms through the creative process? We are looking for visual and written submissions that explore gender and might in some way respond to these questions.

Selected artists will be published in INLAND#2 and each receive a printed copy of the magazine. There will also be a series of events in art spaces across the UK with a view for international events to promote the magazine and showcase the selected artists' work. All selected artists will be actively promoted through the INLAND social media channels and on our website.

For visual submissions please send no more than three jpeg images ( up to 500kb each) and for poetry and prose submissions please send no more than three word documents. Title your documents as follows: name_title_date, so that if you were Alice Smith submitting an untitled piece from 2015 your document would be called: alicesmith_untitled_2015. There is an admin fee of £5 per submission and you can submit up to three pieces per submission. To pay the £5 submission fee follow this link: https://www.paypal.me/inlandproject/5 Please send submissions to hello@inlandproject.co.uk, the subject of your email should be 'Open Call' and in the body of your
