UCLan is a well-established university with nearly 200 years’ experience of delivering high quality tertiary education; our focus is on research-informed teaching and a superlative student experience. The School of Language, Literature and International Studies (SoLLIS) is thriving, with an expanding provision at undergraduate and postgraduate level, delivering courses in the UK, Asia and Europe as well as receiving a significant number of international students into the School annually. Our Linguistic submission into RAE2008 was strong; and we are keen to build on it, in respect to REF2020.
The School wishes to appoint a Lecturer to teach on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Creative Writing with a particular focus on taking on the academic leadership of appropriate modules. The post holder will contribute to areas which are of strategic importance to the School in respect to research, innovation and enterprise activities, student support, teaching and doctoral work.
We are seeking applicants who are enthusiastic about creative writing, engaging, have significant experience in teaching and a profile of international excellence in research. Applicants should have a good honours degree (or equivalent) and have a PhD (or near completion) in a relevant field.
