Lecturer in Creative Writing (Fiction)

You will be based in the University of Manchester Centre for New Writing, which forms part of the Division of English, American Studies and Creative Writing (EAC), in the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures

You will contribute to the work of the division by providing undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the area of Creative Writing, with a specific focus on fiction, including workshops, seminars on narrative form and/or literary theory and/or contemporary fiction.

You will have a record of publishing excellent fiction; an ability to provide high-quality teaching to a range of student groups at different levels and an ability to manage all aspects of course administration, including setting and marking assessed work. You will work as an effective member of a team, with a strong commitment to collegiality, good interpersonal and organisational skills and a willingness/ability to take a share of responsibilities for student progress.
