For more than a hundred years Falmouth University have been on a journey from School of Art to a modern creative innovation hub
The School of Writing & Journalism is at the forefront of its field, delivering innovative and creative industry-focussed undergraduate courses in English, journalism, and creative writing and postgraduate provision in professional writing.
Our Writers in Residence programme brings award-winning authors such as Emily Barr, Matt Haig, and Lionel Shriver for creative workshops, lectures and events, enabling our students to collaborate with industry experts.
We are seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Creative Writing: Screenwriting. The successful candidate will deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in writing for screen and script and also across core creative writing modules. You will have a strong record in writing for screen, and good industry connections. Experience in other forms of scriptwriting such as theatre or radio would be an advantage.
You will also have experience of delivering teaching and learning in higher education, ideally in online as well as campus-based contexts. You will be able to demonstrate a track record in research commensurate with career stage, or the potential to develop your practice in the context of Falmouth’s research and innovation agendas.
