The Creative Writing Program is located in the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne
The School hosts a range of complementary teaching programs including Cinema and Cultural Studies, Gender Studies, English and Theatre Studies, and Publishing.
The Creative Writing discipline within the School of Culture and Communication has held a ranking of 4 (performance above world standard) in the last two ERA (Excellence in Research in Australia) evaluations. Creative Writing offers a major in the BA, an Honours program, a coursework Masters (with Publishing), and MA and PhD by research.
