Purpose of the job
To promote the innovation, diversity, creativity and excellence of British literature in the context of the British Council’s cultural relations remit by:
• Providing specialist research and information to the Literature team in the development and delivery of global literature programmes
• Managing information provision and collections as a literature resource, including the library and up to date books and periodical collections
• Representing the British Council’s ambitions and activities in literature to external partners and stakeholders and establishing and maintaining departmental relationships particularly in the publishing sector
The role will involve carrying materials and physically organising a library of books and various materials.
