Write Minds is an organisation that is all about releasing the thoughts in our heads in a creative way. This poetry collection will be celebrating just that
We are putting together a poetry collection on the theme of mental health, self harm and suicide. The collection will comprise of poetry that speaks of the tales in our heads, giving an insight to a world often locked inside someone’s brain, as well as looking towards the future with hope and positivity.
Poetry Competition
- Do you have a story to tell? This competition is open to anyone who has encountered mental health issues, self harm and/or suicide, be it through personal experience or that of someone close to them.
- The 20 winning poems will be published in the collection and each winning poet will receive a free copy of the book.
- The collection will be released on 1st March 2016 to celebrate Self Harm Awareness Day
- The book will be published by Nottingham based press, Big White Shed
- Special Guest Judge: Joelle Taylor
